Policy
Illinois State University has aligned specific evaluation and admission requirements for prospective undergraduate student requirements with standards established by the State of Illinois under the Higher Education Fair Admissions Act (Public Act 102-0054). The Higher Education Fair Admissions Act requires each public university to adopt a test-optional admissions policy for prospective students. At Illinois State University, no prospective student is required to submit any standardized test scores with their application. A standardized test score means the composite score or any subscores on the ACT or SAT college admissions test or any other standardized college admissions test. Standardized test scores will be evaluated only at the request of the applicant.
