7.3.1 Purchasing – Procurement, Statutory & Other Compliance

The Purchasing Division’s mission is to support the procurement requirements of the University in a professional, ethical, and timely manner.  The Purchasing Division will utilize technology, streamline processes, and provide value driven services, enabling University departments to acquire necessary goods and services.

Policy

University Procurement is governed by the Illinois Procurement Code (30 ILCS 500) and the rules of the Chief Procurement Officer for Higher Education promulgated thereunder.   The type of purchase determines the dollar thresholds and appropriate University procedures to be followed.   Detailed information and procedures will be located on the Purchasing website:  http://www.comptroller.ilstu.edu/faculty/purchasing/index.shtml
