3.1.45 Recruitment

Policy

The University has established policies and procedures for the recruitment of staff. The Office of Human Resources is responsible for the recruitment of Civil Service personnel. For more information, please contact the Office of Human Resources at 438-8311.

The Provost's Office is responsible for the recruitment of tenure-track faculty and Administrative/Professional positions. The Office of the Associate Vice President for Academic Administrative Services is the coordinating office and has a limited budget for recruitment to assist in the payment of expenses related to recruiting of General Revenue funded positions. The Recruitment Account Procedures are available on the Academic Personnel Web site. The Recruitment Account is used to assist in the payment of the following recruitment associated costs:


1. Advertising for the position opening,
2. Candidate's travel and local expenses incurred during the interview process,
3. Faculty member's travel expenses if recruiting during the trip, and
4. New faculty member's expenses incurred from a move to the Normal/Bloomington area within established guidelines.
